How long is this ride?

Hello Roomies,

Well, the ride continues.

My "A" and I had a wonderful weekend. We spent family time together, spent quality time together, and he was sober all weekend.

He cut ties off from his "friends" on Wednesday after they returned the car completely out of gas, and it also had stolen property in the trunk.

So we had this great weekend, no knocking on the door, no nothing from these people.

Last night at 10pm we had a knock on the door. Our 60 something neighbor had gotten drunk and fallen down outside. Well they asked Reggie to come and help him up. The next thing I know, they are yelling at eachother, and he comes back in, there is yelling from our door and I call 911, for the neighbor and for the fight I see coming.

While I am on the phone with the dispatcher I hear them going at it, my "A" and this neighbor (the drunk is still laying on the floor.) The next thing I know I hear my "A" say "so you want to take a swing at me," and then he hit the other guy.

Long story short, my "A" is now in jail again. But this time for an assult.

I am so frustrated with this stupid disease.

Thanks, needed to vent.

Much Love,

Dear Dolphin -

I am so sorry you are going through all of that.  I cannot imagine having to call the police b/c of a fight outside my door.  And then to have your A get involved & into trouble too.  That stinks.  I don't know what I would do.  I know one time my AH got trashed at a bar years ago and was being really really rude & crude to me on the dance floor.  So I got upset & went to the bathroom.  Aparrently the bouncer approached him as I was leaving & he got into a heated argument w/him.  He ended up in jail for drunk in public.  I went home w/his friend to his parents' house so he could go w/me to pick my A up @ 6:00 AM.  I was scared to go alone.  My A called me @ his house & said some horrible things to me, threatening me, accusing me of things.  Needless to say, my parents ended up bailing his butt out & he doesn't remember the incident at all.  I do though & always will.

Remember that we are all here for you.  I will keep you in my thoughts.  Try to stay positive.

God Bless.

(((((((((((((Dolphin)))))))))))))),

When you find out the answer to this question let me know! All you can do is hold on tight and take care of yourself.

There are days when I am so exhausted from all of this I want to crawl under a hole and never come out! It doesn't matter if hubby has been drinking or not. Then there are days I can't wait to fight back!

In all of this, I have to remember that I am a human being and deserve to be happy, and so does my hubby. That's what keeps me going. I am too stubborn to give in, and so is he. But I hate this disease with all my being.

Love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,
Karilynn

Hugs Dolphin.  I think the slogan for living with an A should be:

"STOP THE BUS I WANT TO GET OFF".

Gee if life was only that simple.  It is always embarrassing the behaviour of the A even though we kid ourselves that it doesn't affect us.  Thinking of you with love. I live in a small town and everything is noticed here you cant sneeze without someone knowing what your A has done.  Luv Leo xxx
