Courage to Change (C2C) 11/23/17

Good morning MIP family.  Today's reading is about "Keep it Simple".  The writer discusses goals and dreams that seemed way too hard or large to accomplish at times, therefore ... never started.  Keep it simple can remind us to simplify dreams and goals into one step at a time instead of viewing the task as a whole.

We can gather information and set the project aside.  When we are ready, we can take the next step.  We are also free to try something and change our mind.  We do not have to make a lifetime commitment before we know whether or the not the goal is desirable.

We can take our time and move step by step at our own pace.  If we focus on one thing at a time, the impossible can become likely if we just Keep it Simple.

Today's Reminder --  With the help of Al-Anon and my Higher Power, I am capable of many things I could not even have considered before.  I may even be capable of pursuing my heart's desire.

Today's Quote -- "All glory comes from daring to begin."  from Eugene F. Ware

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I can so relate to this daily.  I tend to project forward and get overwhelmed easily.  The program has given me more tools to bring my mind back to Step One - of the program, of the project, of the day.  Staying present and keeping it simple does give me much more peace and brings more clarity.
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all.  My task for the feast is pies - that's next on my list!  May you all have a blessed day and know I'm grateful you are part of my journey.
Good Morning IH Great slogan I never realized just how complicated my thinking had become until I began to try to "Keep it Simple " Living with the disease, I developed an overly responsible attitude and tried to be perfect so no one could judge or blame me if anything went wrong. Today thanks to program and this slogan I take action and let go of the results. In simple words i , now allow myself to be a HUMAN BEING and not a HUMAN DOING.
Good Luck with the pies :)
Thank you for your service, IAH, and both your shares. Betty, what you wrote about attempting to be perfect so as not to get blamed - that's me as well! Thanks for being here, everyone!!! We do not celebrate Thanksgiving in my country, but this holiday so aligns with Alanon, it seems :)
