I've changed my avatar just for today because it helps to affirm my cultural spirit so much of which is anchored onto and in my program...I will not make any political or national statements just revealing my roots. Mahalo ((((Hugs))))

Jerry,
I went to a town I use to live in today and it felt really nice because the town is kind of isolated and the culture has remained the same. It is important to remember where we come from in this ever changing world.

I think it is GREAT....you revealing your roots.....its kinda hard to see, but I think i see most of it.......hugs
The translation for the Hawaiian principle is "The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness". The flag design describes the amends of the King to the family of one of the citizens who was found fishing in a royal pond (belonging to the king) and then killed for it by the king. Having a deep change of spirit the king made his amends and the royal ponds were open to the citizens who need to feed their families. The flag depicts the new law of "The broken paddle". The paddles border the Royal feathered kahili which is a sign of the king. We all find a program to change to and practice eh? Mahalo for letting me share. ((((hugs))))
Thank you Jerry for sharing that with me. I truly appreciate the meaning and intent from those who came before us. (((Hugs)))

Iamhere The women of Al-Anon are the most courageous women I have ever encountered including those on this board. As I have often said, it was the women of the program that adopted me and saved my peace of mind and serenity no matter how hard they worked and how long. I leave none out those here now and those who have passed from my sight awhile back. My very own mother held nothing against their efforts because those efforts worked miracles and in fact my relationship with my mother was much much better off because of them. I mahalo them daily as I do right now. It is a gift and pleasure that I can sit before the recovery of the Al-Anon ladies. I mahalo Akua my Higher Power for these gifts and I will freely give them away to others In need. ((((hugs))))
