My father died today. I spoke with him yesterday and he was looking forward to my visit this weekend for Father's Day.
There is a possibility that he had not actively been drinking for a week or two before he died, but the damage had already been done.
I'm relieved that he is no longer suffering. I wish a lot of things, but I take comfort that he is at some peace now.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your father (((Mikhail))) Prayers for you and your family. Alcoholism is such an awful illness. Hope you'll keep sharing with us as you grieve.TT
