One of my dogs has lymphoma and she has been receiving chemo for about 5-6 weeks. Towards the end of last week she stopped eating and drinking. I thought that was going to be it since there is no guarantee on treatment working. We've been wracking our brains to figure out what to try, and with the help of the cancer tech, our dog has been eating the stalk of romaine lettuce, baby food heated up and hand fed, and at times cheese. She still won't drink water but I think the lettuce stalk is providing the moisture she needs. I thanked HP and nearly cried when she resumed eating a few days ago. And my A and I have a crisis in common which does bring some solidarity. Not all of my gratitudes are this dramatic, but as you can imagine, I am so GRATEFUL! Lyne
(((Lyne))) - so, so sorry for the illness in your dog. What a loving and caring set of parents - I applaud your resolve to keep trying until success. I'm sending tons of fur-baby love, positive thoughts and prayers your way. Also glad that you and your A have a common cause to align with - around here, that does always help me to remember who I love and why!
