My poor BF called me totally upset .. he was at a grocery store and some young gal tried to say that he hit her car while parking and just left it .. as in he left his big truck parked on her little car .. LOL.  There was no real damage to her car if he hit her with his truck the side paneling would have been GONE. 

Now I laugh because I already know in my mind it's a scam.  I say to him tell her you are going into the store to get video from the parking lot (it was a walmart so they have cameras in the parking lot) she starts hollering about how she's calling the police and he says totally fine you do that .. he refused to give her any information until the police got there and so on.  Walks in to talk to the manager and they say the police have to be called to come view it.  Cops literally came like within 3 min she must have seen them and as soon as she did she took off.  So he goes back out and sure enough she's just gone.  Cops gave him the run down of the scam and said don't worry about it.  He said that he was concerned because she had a copy of his license and he had told her he had a copy of her license while she was on the phone "with the police" .. LOL. 

He was so shook up and upset for good reason .. I do think it's interesting the absolute lengths people will go to run a scam.  I just felt badly for him because it was an issue that OMGOSH what an idiot to think that he would fold like that then I started thinking about people who would and that is scary to me because what an awful thing to do to someone who was already vulnerable. 

All was resolved I think what bothered me more was her age .. very young .. smh.  I wonder if she will target that parking lot again .. good to know that's what people will do though .. sigh.  Lesson learned .. I think what I like most is how he chose to handle the situation .. he didn't get irate or start hollering about who did what just was calm and said . ok .. let's just see what happened .. more will be revealed right?
