The next few days are so bitter sweet for me.  My son turns the big 13 today and my daughter will be turning a very big 18.  I can't believe they both survived in spite of me .. LOL!

It really is a shock how much time has passed and how quickly it has passed as well. 

How much time I wasted being focused on my XAH and how much I want to make it up to my kids.  All I can do is be present in the moment today.  That is the one parenting guilt I have is not being more present with the kids mentally, emotionally and physically. 

We will be having cupcakes and presents today for my son as well as family game night tonight.  I'm cooking some of his favorites.  We will celebrate together as a family.  I am so looking forward to this time with the kids and my BF will be there as well.  It will be such a good time.  Monday we will do something similar for my daughter and both of them will have a small get together later on this month.  We are soooo busy it's crazy this month I have no idea where it all went!?

Hi Serenity It sounds as if you have great plans to celebrate. T ime does fly, so I have learned (Thanks to program} that appreciating each day and being present in the moment is the best alanontool . Living with joy serenity wisdom and courage is a product of learning how to live life on life's terms. It appears you have learned these lesson well.

Happy Birthday to your kiddos! I know how you feel! Heck, mine's already 18 and I swear this would never happen. He was supposed to stay 10 forever! Enjoy your time with family this week and weekend. I love it when we can plan ahead and make special memories with our kids. HUGS!

It's been a great deal of fun so far and they heard from their dad sort of .. It is what it is and I'm seriously trying not to focus on that part of the deal he's a jerk. Anyways lol .. So far so good ;)
