((((Hello Cathy}}}, this is indeed a dreadful disease and I so understand how you feel. I'm saddened to read of this development and am sending positive thoughts and prayers for you and your son.
(((Cathy))) I'm right there with you right now. My AS is struggling and it's so difficult. We absolutely know that it is hands off and turn them over to HP. Still heartbreaking for any Mom to see their (baby) hurting no matter how old they are, alcoholism is a cruel disease. It's like Oh No, here we go again. The serenity prayer and One Day at A Time are very calming to me and helps me to try and stay focused and not jump into the What If's. Positive thoughts and prayers coming your way.

The back and forth, the up and down is so difficult to endure when we only want happiness and contentment for our loved ones. He does however have a loving mother whom is strong in her program and knows what to do even when it is painful. Hugs to you and prayers sent for both you and your son who is struggling.
Cath...Hope he kept his recovery thoughts and feelings and behaviors with him as he hit the slope. Prayers and best wishes to your both. God can and will do for you both what you cannot do for yourselves. ((((hugs))))
Thank you all for the support and ESH.....I will stay strong. I thought he had lost his job ( girlfriend message ) but he went to work this morning. I know it's just a matter of time before he's fired but BUT
I pray he will keep his recovery thoughts and feelings and behaviors in the back of his mind and pull though again.
He is going to drink or he's not.....what is Cathy going to do??
Be with Al-anon and MIP to help ME get in a better place.
