Al-Anon put to the test!

So I have been attending Al-Anon now for 4 weeks and I am feeling more connect to my HP. I also am reading about detachment. I thank God cause as of yesterday I finally have a sponsor. My test to apply Al-Anon teaches came to a head yesterday. My AH had been sober for 30days (because I had made a threat) and as of yesterday he knew I wasn't going to leave him and he drank. He became very selfish last night and I had to put my sponsor to use which REALLY helped. The old me would have reacted differently to the situation last night with my AH. I remember the Serenity Prayer, I prayed twice! I read my Al-Anon material and cheats to remember during an argument. I went to bed early. It all worked. Even though I didn't get much sleep last night, I can feel at peace and not be scared. I acknowledge that I am just as sick as my AH and have to stay focused on getting better on my own. Please take Al-Anon seriously cause it is working for me and I just started! I just wanted to share.
