Does anyone know of a group for children ages 7 - 9? I'm asking for my grand children. My adult son is a single dad & an alcoholic. I have my grandchildren with me because home life is not very good at the moment. They need help ( and so do I). Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
Some locations have Alateen for pre-teens. Please reach out to your local Alanon district, or look up meetings at this link: http://al-anon.info/MeetingSearch/AlateenMeetings.aspx?language=EN

I found the best help my children got was through me setting an example and I got the it through working the Alanon programme, going to meetings in my town, getting a sponsor and working the steps and slogans. Good for you for reaching out.
Welcome GrandmaJ - glad to have you and glad that you are seeking help. If the local Al-Anon doesn't have support for their ages, I do suggest you reach out to city, state, county, other resources just to check what might be available. When things began going south in my world, I was amazed at how many programs are offered that may/may not be a good fit for your situation.
Please keep coming back - you are not alone!
