Recognizing the signs and making the right choice

I am leaving town for a few days to see my family. My addict ex offered to watch my cats when I was out of town. I was so grateful as he loves my cats and would be perfect to do it as long as hes clean. I saw picture that was posted by his cousin the other day online and by the look of him it made me wonder if he was back on drugs. So today my best friend who is roommates with him still brought to my attention that her boyfriend thinks my ex is back to using. Strange behavior locking himself in his room putting a towel under his door, working a lot and not paying rent things like that. We are on the same phone bill so I checked to see if he might be calling his dealer and sure enough he is regularly. I would not of looked or even questioned anything but he is going to be staying in my house when I am not there with my cats I needed to know. I cant have this in my home. I'm in no way going to allow him to come to my house. Now I just have to figure out how to bring it up to him. I'm going to keep on praying about it.

Great awareness and acceptance + action....I love my fur-baby so for my program, I consider her part of my self-care. I love that you used facts to make an informed decision to ensure your cats are safe so you can enjoy your trip. I too am sending positive thoughts and prayers.
