F2F meeting question

I have not been very good about F2F meeting attendance, but I think this holiday season I will need to do better. To your knowledge, do F2F meetings tend to meet around the holidays? Even on Christmas Day or New Year's Day?

I've never attended a meeting when I'm traveling, but I think I'm going to this weekend. Fortunately, there seems to be a good number of meetings in the area that I'm traveling to.

In areas where there are many offered, you can usually find one or more per day. My area has multiple meetings all around, each/every day. If you go to the main Al-Anon page, I believe you can do some searching to find meetings where you live/are going. They'll share their schedule but none in my area take a break for the holidays - our attendance actually goes up around holidays as it's just so stressful!

Good on you - meetings for me are so helpful in grounded me in my spiritual journey, my program and a great reminder of all the tools we have to use when/as needed!

In my area, many meetings are closed on Christmas Day and New Year's  Day. The reason for this is that the place where they are held, locks the doors and we are not given access. This is not so with my meetings that are held in hospitals or churches. They are held 365 days a year. So check with Al-Anon Intergroup in the city that you  find yourself and hopefully you will be given the meeting schedule. The Intergroup number is usually found in the white pages. Good luck.

We hold online meetings here twice a day .

Before a recent trip, I reached out to the local alanon chapter for help finding meetings near my hotel. A very helpful lady contacted me to assist with info about bus schedule and even offered to drive me to a meeting or two. Such generosity. Our groups are having all-day, all-night event on New Years Eve, so calling is definitely with it. Good luck.

with the area we have meetings in, we are most definitely open around the holidays .. the purpose of the family coming together and our needing sometimes to express .. with the focus on us .. but like betty mentioned above, it's a good idea to check .. do know there's different strokes for different folks and meetings .. i love that ours are open year round .. they bring a little extra serenity to the holidays ..
