Incompetant justice system. A's attorney is a flake as is the courst. A went to court ready to go into jail and get it over with. Looking forward to being in a routine environ and being in AA in there.
The stupid attorney and DA were not prepared so they put it off until April 20th. So now A has nowhere to go,not a dime. sigh.
So my rental needs a lot of work, power is on so I told him to drag a mattress over there and a radio and chair and stay there and work. He was glad to do it. Told him, no cussing, no yelling J. christ, no complaining, no asking for drugs, no asking for money, No drinking, no using. soon as I get a vehicle meetings every day like he has been doing. He has two weeks clean and working on program.
It is up to him though, I just said I can take him if he chooses to go.
sigh. but he has a good attitude and is glad he has time to help me get my rental ready. He will have it nice I know.
I decided to keep my 78 chevy pickup short bed. I love this truck. I don't want payments and hate computers and hate the way they make cars so cheap now.
Figure the gas and upkeep will be cheaper than the stupid payments and interest. Plus I love to work on my truck.
It sat for months. I was messing with it tightening things and put in a new battery and stuff. It started right up. I was writing down all I needed, belts, hoses, uno.
On the way to town yesterday morn to go to A's court had a major problem. I just felt I had to go, even though I told him I wasn't. My truck sounded wierd, I pulled over and turned it off. Opened the hood and BAM!!! The big hose from radiator to motor blew apart. got me in the face and my mouth. ouch. It not horrible thank God. My face feels like when ya have chapped lips. My lips hurt and my tougue. I musta yelled. lol
Well I had just washed him too. sigh. Plus I am in a dress and pantyhose and nice shoes of course. bigger sigh. A nice man came over and offered help. Kept me busy. I called my son and his almost wife came and got me. I took the old hose off and got the belt untangled from everything. I keep tools in my truck along with gas,oil, trannyfluid, anti freeze, a blanket and pillow, nutrition meal replacements, water....haha I am always prepared. OH and a book.
So there it sits. It also may need a tranny as I think rick ruined it. Mac my son found one that is guarenteed for a couple hundred. Soooooo I am hoping my friend will loan me his pickup until mine is done. He offered before.
Life just loves to keep ya busy!
Right now there are a zillion finches at my front windows eating finch seed. Its so cool. Last night the frogs in the pond right outside my bedroom sliding door were soooo soooo loud I could not hear my tv in there at all! When it rains they just love it. Of course I love it too as it makes such ever so nice mud.

I can relate to the court stuff and delays per friends of mine. I sure hope your A can behave and do his share around the place as you sure can use the help. Maybe you need a clear welding mask too so if the truck overheats you will be prepared :) Yikes, the burns could be way worse than they are! Keep up your great sense of humor an postive outlook. I'm always praying for you love. Now I'm praying that your A will behave himself, and that he will realize and appreciate all you have done, and (sigh) are doing again... He certainly must know by now who is ALWAYS there for him, even against her better judgement!

Only HP knows what's up his sleeve, but I bet he was counting on your wonderful heart when this was arranged.
I hope the month goes well for you both. You could use the help, I sure hope he gives it. I also hope to God he wakes up and sees you for the person you really are.
The thought of you in a horse and buggy just makes me smile. Maybe with a little side car for your piggy friends.
I am sorry to hear about the mishap with your truck. I do agree that life is always throwing stuff at us. I am glad that you found a way around the situation. Of course there is no guarantee it will happen in April either sometimes those continuances keep on coming.
Glad to see with all the hoopla you are taking the time to listen to the frogs and watch the finches. I can't wait for some nicer weather to watch the world rushing around while I sit on my farm porch in the city drinking lemonade and enjoying every surprised face when I say good morning afternoon whatever just like my grandparents did from thier porch in the small town I grew up in.
Wow! That's great that you can do all of that work on your truck yourself! I can barely open the hood on my car! I had to borrow a friend's truck to get to work today and I could barely get up into it. Also, it feels like it's bouncing all over the road when I drive it. Anyway, I hope things are going better for you now.
