I am freaking out

My ex sister in law called trying to get me to fix this.  She's also an Alcoholic and played a role in creating this mess.  I told her don't call me. Don't talk to me.  Alcoholic brother is being taken care of.  He actually called me from rehab center.  He saw a priest, he had asked me for one a few weeks ago. God bless my sponsor in Al Anon, she told me, don't feel guilty, they created this mess, let them figure it out.

He sounded terrible on phone, but at least he dialed phone.  He's very messed up. He hasn't been able to do that for days. This is so painful.  Thanks for letting me write this down.

I felt helpless during the "panic" calls from family trying to find sanity during insane periods of time.  Being powerless helped me to do the one thing I could do which was to turn them over and then let it go.  In hindsight it turned out okay for them and uncle Jerry  didn't need a pat on the back.  I am no body's higher power.    ((((Lucy)))) HP is truly with you and him as Betty stated.  Now you can let go without guilt.    ((((Hugs)))) smile

(((Lucy))) - some times, all I could do was sit and breathe.....just breathe. This disease tends to bring out the insanity and chaos all around us. I held onto the 3 C(s) big time in moments of panic and reminded myself that I wanted to be part of the solution and not part of the problem. HP's got this!!
