So today I called abf on my lunch. Sobriety was ok until last week when he drank a couple times. I totally maintained my serenity and was proud of how I handled myself. Anyways I called him on lunch and a funky intuition went off within me. He said he had stopped at a drugstore to use the bathroom and now he was on his way home. He then said he needed to let me go to use the bathroom again and specifically named off a gas station close to our home. I let him go, and just knew something was up. So I thought to myself, "I bet he is still at the drugstore, I am going to drive over there" Sure enough, I pull in, his vehicle is still there and he is in the mist of a drug deal. I walked up to the vehicle and calmly say, "whatcha doin" and he responds, "wrong". I lost my serenity. Absolutely lost my mind.
Uhg. I just don't know if I can do this. Thanks for listening.
From my world too.....sorry that you were let down and lost your serenity. It does happen but the good news - with our Al-Anon tools, we can regroup and get back on track.
Keep coming back - the disease is powerful and causes crazy-making in all of us!
