I am going through some of the toughest times in my life. My Daughter is very sick with an eating disorder. The worse she is the more my AH drinks and the more I am spiraling downward.
But praise my HP! I have Alanon and this board. I came here today and heard exactly what I needed to hear.
Thank you! You guys are great! I wish you all the peace and love your world has to give!
(((Ceelee))) - continued thoughts and prayers for you, your AH and your daughter...Glad you are here too!

Thank you for the kind words. She is at her therapist right now while I'm waiting for her. It's odd how her eating disorder will sometimes resemble her dads alcoholism. She will lie about her eating and protect her issue. It's like my AH protecting his drinking.
The good news is she may be going back to school next week. Right now she is in a day program.
Meanwhile my AH said last night he was getting sober today. Guess what happened? He was crazier than ever this morning. Going to by beer at 8am. But I left for the day and have been out doing errands. I'm not looking forward to going home.
Right Ceelee...the similarities in disorders often times are very insane. I have been thru addiction situations with others with what they were addicted to varying from drugs to religion....insanity is insanity and what helps me is committing my self to powerlessness. The 3rd step is my step in such situations. Practice, practice, practice. (((hugs)))
