I am hoping that my AH will not drink tomorrow but I will try not to let it ruin my day. I can't control his drinking and after reading posts here for the last week, I am doing better at letting go. I have even said to him, in response to a question or statement from him, that he is in charge of his drinking.
My AH, as I have stated, is a binge alcoholic. He has been slowing down and trying to quit for the last week. Every day for the last few days he has said that he doesn't know if he'll even drink today.....that means he will drink. But I am really working to not let it bother me and not say a thing to him about his drinking.
Still hoping for a good birthday! Will definitely be better with a sober husband!
Happy, happy early birthday!! i too am sending positive thoughts your way!

On important days that I have been concerned about my A's drinking, I have tried to have a plan B. Perhaps you can have something in mind you can do for yourself, if A isn't really available for you.
I have also found that for the most part, my A has somewhere deep down known to not let me down on my day. Funny how they can pull it together if need be.
I am sending positive thoughts and wishes for a terrific birthday. Congrats on your program progress also!
Thanks again for the birthday wishes! Not a bad day. Good day at work and the AH is weaning down so hasn't had too much tonight.....soon, possibly tomorrow, the binge will be over.
