I have worked as an office temp for the last six years since I was laid off from my permanent job during the recession in 2010. People ask me why I don't get a permanent job. I tell them that I have seen permanent employees get let go after many years with companies so the word temp and permanent are interchangeable. I am currently at a long term temp job that I am supposed to be at until October. I have been there two months. I have been told that I am doing a great job and no complaints. On Thursday I was called into the managers office and told if I make any more mistakes they will let me go. I have to stay positive no matter what. If they are going to let me go there is nothing I can do. It's just confusing when I am told what a great job I have been doing then I am threatened to be fired. I know I need help to stay positive. Any feedback or suggestions?
As best I remember from my temp days - long, long ago - they can release you as they want to. The best suggestion I have is to contact your agency, let them know you may soon be released from the long term assignment and ask them to seek alternatives so you have no interruptions in working....
They should call to get feedback and then can assist you accordingly.
HTH...

I am sorry that this is going on in your life. I agree with IAH that the best you can do is contact your agency and explore your options.
Positive thoughts and prayers also help.
