Why is it that I keep beating a dead horse. I never seem to learn. I.ve been married to my AH for 28 years now. And come from a family of drinkers. I guess it.s what I know and maybe comfortable with. This website is great and i.ve been here before. But then I quit coming. I have it in my head that I can still fix things by just being stubborn lol. But I can.t. I know I nwed to let go and let God. I am a pepole pleaser and let people walk all over me and try to get people to like me. But this time i.m going to keep it up.

For change and growing. There is literature
Available to purchase and usually a lending
Library at most mtgs.
What is it your going to keep up? It sounds like your ready for change and the only way to get it is to dive in full force into this recovery program and it isnt only about this site unfortunatley. Meetings, regularly is the foundation for it. Good luck
Hi~I guess I've learned that I can't fight this disease by myself. I can feel absolutely at peace, and then the cycle starts repeating. It's so easy to get sucked back in. I go to f2f, have a sponsor, read and get to the board as often as I can, but I also know left to my own plan, I will get sick and sucked in. NOT GOING THERE!!!! Why should I risk being miserable when I can feel better so much of the time. Maybe I'll be an alanon lifer! Hmmmmm, Lyne
Hi Minnie, welcome back. Sometimes we just aren't ready to do what needs to be done. Sometimes we just can't do it. But comes a time that we all are able to climb back on the horse and ride it, instead of just getting off after a quick trot. hopefully you are now in that time. Keep coming back. And I hope you are able to get to some face to face meetings too!
