C2C reading for 6-12

The C2C reading for June 12 speaks about the 10th step and suggest making it part of our daily routine as It is a gentle, warm and loving way to take care of ourselves.

The steps help us to learn that living one day at a time, facing all issues honestly  and with courage  we will grow in spirituality and courage.

The quote is from In All Our Affairs. "Each day, each moment can be an opportunity to clear the air and start again fresh and free.

The 10 th Step is part of my daily routine and helps to keep me honest.

Thank you Betty for this daily and your service.....I came to the program having a series of 'bad days' which lead to a miserable life. Early on in the program, I kept hearing One Day at a Time. I would consider, practice and work hard to stay in that day, counting down the hours until nightfall when I could consider the day a success because I made it. My old habits of taking bad moments and creating a bad day, week or more still were close to the front of my brain. A lovely program friend said, "You can start your day over at any time." That was all she said after listening to a problem or series of events that had happened that day.

What a concept! I did not EVER stop to realize that I did not have to define my day from 12:01am thru 11:59pm - I could start it whenever necessary and restart it as desired. This small statement was a miracle for me that lead me to realize I truly had a blessed life with unpleasant moments. It was ME that took those and created bad days.

So, the quote speaks to me - as I believe in restarts as needed and each one, in my program begins the same way and ends the same way - 1,2,3 in the AM and 9, 10, 11 in the PM. I now look forward to both the start and wind-down of each day as I design them as it helps me stay program-centered and God-centered.

Happy Sunday - after one full week of taking life easy in my head recovery, I am headed out to play ball again with the fellowship after my F2F meeting! It's a hot day in my world - drinking tons of water!!!

(((Hugs)))
