Can I still lose my composure and get out of hand??

You all get an A for the proper answer....I get tired of loosing control because of a basketball game thousands of miles away, completely out of my control is being played and referred not to my liking...good I got u p from the sofa and left the room because I still don't do judgement and active resentments as if I was still married to the alcoholic/addict and did it pass???  My team won nicely and I continued to wail.  My higher power had a sponsor session with me just after that.  I'm okay now...I'm okay now...I'm okay now....doh

Your still human Jerry. Always will be. The inner child can still need a talking too and most likely always will. These challenges are opportunities for growth.x Glad your team won.x

Sports are meant to raise the emotions. The people who plan/promote/broadcast them expect emotional responses and they know just how to get them.
You're only human. You should see me watching soccer.

I will readily admit that when I am watching/playing sports, I loose my @#$# at times..... I believe that we are a passionate lot and each of us has something that raises that passion. For me, it happens to be sports and a few other subjects. I am not always proud of the way my passion is displayed, but am grateful to have the passion within.....I do have to remember that I am an imperfect human always just trying to be/do better.

Glad your team won Jerry!!! The Royals, my World Series Champion Royals, had lost 8 games in a row....I had to change channels a couple times in the last week +.....today, they finally won. I have to remind myself that when they are sucking wind and I feel bad - they have got to feel worse!!! But - I am passionate about sports and a few other things...working to curb my passion in a positive way isn't easy when sports are involved! Just sayin!

I recently read an interview with the Dalai Lama and he admitted that he still loses his temper sometimes.

I did not get the gene that makes me care one hoot about the outcome of a sporting event, lol, I love a good game - love to watch highlights of football because I can appreciate a great hail mary pass, or 99 yard run up the field. I love good football movies, and I like going to local school football games because of the social aspect. Sure I want our team to win, but I have to be careful because my enthusiasm for a well executed play by the other team could get me lynched!
