Courage to Change Reading 6-11-2016

The C2C reading for June 11 talks about Step Nine. In this step we are asked to make direct amends to people we  have injured.  The reading points out the logical progression of the Steps, as it is in Step 8 where we learn what making  "amends" means and become willing .to do so.   Since  these  amends are more than saying" I'm sorry"-making  amends is really  becoming "willing to change our attitudes and actions."

The reading suggests that HP does not place any challenge before me that I am unable to face comfortably

The quote is from John Burroughs:"The lure of the distant and the difficult is deceptive. The great opportunity is where you are."

So true yet so hard to implement.   I know that I thought that  I had hurt everyone that I touched and needed to take several off my list as I proceeded to work this Step  I also placed myself at the top of the list and made amends to myself for about a year before I could honestly  move forward with this Step.
The way I see it   Step 9  is a process and I still have not made all my "Direct" amends.
Have a great day

I often think of those I hurt! I have hurt myself the most. After I make my amends list I can take the 9th step. Then & only then an I approach people w my amends.
