When doves cry! I am saddened today by the loss of a man & artist who was the background of my young life. I was just a teen when the man hit this world w his music & message. I was moved by the music. The song When Doves Cry was a definite meaningful song w lyrics that include maybe you are just like my mother she's never satisfied. Sorry mom. I do love you but really she has never totally satisfied! I am sad. RIP Prince Rogers Nelson. For you who don't know him he is a legend even if only in my mind. Peace out!

Aw Hoot. Me too. I loved Prince. I saw him live about 20 years ago when he came to Glasgow, he was amazing. He came on to the stage from the ceiling in a purple bed. I loved him. He was a big part of my childhood. Im pretty gutted so I get how you feel. Legend.x

Me also - I loved Prince! He was so talented and so giving in his artistry and so many of his songs were also a part of my growing up. He seemed to have humility always, and genuinely appeared to be grounded in who he was. He will be missed - no doubt - and his music will live on forever. RIP Prince!!

In some of the new coverage, they are talking about him being a very spiritual person. I believe it shows - in his words and his legacy. Amazing how loss reaches far and wide for famous folks - he left behind millions of 'friends' and family...

Thank you for this post. I too am so saddened to lose Prince. He will forever be one of my all time favorite entertainers. No party playlist is complete without Purple Rain and Kiss. My 50th birthday party is coming up next weekend and there may be a tribute before the party is over. :(

2016 is killing me. We're losing all our legends. Can we sacrifice the Kardashians so maybe 2016 will lay off? LOL
