Thanks all - I am excited because my favorite nephew is marrying a lovely, lovely girl!! So - I wouldn't miss this for the world. I actually invited my parents to room with me (not sure where that came from - assume HP) but that way I can look after them! So - 3 nights, huge resort, FOO, a rehearsal dinner + a wedding!

Kenny - thanks for the list. I'll do some mapping before I take off - easier to look on a computer than a darn phone screen.

I'm so glad today's reading was on sense of humor.....I am the youngest child, and the nephew belongs to my oldest brother. We get along just fine but are very, very different. As an example, his son has tattoos but hides them from my brother because my brother is a red-neck++++++. My nephew is 29 years old and a great, smart, funny, kind young man - with ink! His sister married a lovely young man, very spoken, kind, helpful, funny, etc. who also has ink. He carries an extra shirt in his car to hide his ink from my brother - he's 27.

So, I am the cool aunt. I get invited to all the kid things even though I am an old lady because I am fun, don't judge, provide service and guidance and do not dictate. Anyhoo - I did my own flight, rented my own car and booked my own room. Invited my parents and off I go - or so I thought.

My brother decided he needed to move my hotel room so that I would be with the family. ****SIGH**** - so it took me a few days to reach their resort contact, and finally connected with her today. I explained who I was, and she said, I know which party you belong to - I've spoken with your brother and his wife several times this week about you.

So - I told her that I was the youngest and the baby at 53 and my brother still thinks he knows best. I asked her to change my room back to my preferences and told her I'd prefer to be close but not too close to the wedding people. I also asked her to be sure I had main floor as my parents (81) would do better there. She laughed so hard - she is also the baby of her family and has 3 older siblings too.

I told her to please secure my booking so no changes could be made, exception - adding my parents to the room. I sent an email to my brother and wife and said, I've confirmed with the hotel, all is good - see you all in a week! Took the high road as somethings aren't worth it to my serenity.

I am sure it will be a great time. I am sure that crazy Aunt IamHere will load her car with the offspring and go to the beach while the others run around in the pre-wedding mode. I have no skin in the game other than to play with my nephew, bride, niece and husband. My parents are used to my free spirit and don't try to change me any more! I am planning to take my laptop and will try to check in - we'll see how that goes!

Hugs to you all and know that I am packing every tool I can into my belongings!!!
