I'm so very sad. The very first person who welcomed me into program has lost her son to addiction. My heart breaks for her and the family. I don't usually cry when others lose their kids in program but I know this woman. She was the first person I asked to be my sponsor and I always wanted to see her at my early meetings. I always felt bonded to her in some way. I hate this disease. It leaves behind wreckage. SO very sad today. I have no words.

((Andromeda))) This is indeed a powerful disease and it is dreadful to lose a child to it.
I too am glad that she has alanon and you for support in this difficult time.
Prayers for the family and all who loved/knew this child. You are right - at times like this, I hate this disease.....I too am grateful that she's got Al-Anon and am sure HP will help her heal with the fellowship support.
I pray for the lost soul as well - may he know be at peace and rest easy...this life on Earth can be so hard, and I've come to hope the afterlife brings peace to those who are/were troubled here!
(((Hugs))) - sorry for your sadness girl....

I am so sorry for this woman's loss of her child. An unimaginable pain. I pray that her Al anon family surrounds her and holds her tightly as she travels through her grief.
