I don't know if I have shared the debacle that has been this job I've been applying for is either going to be the best job I've ever gotten or it's going to a nightmare .. the reason for the two extremes is this is what has happened (and I say so far since we are not done yet .. lol). First, I showed up at the wrong building and was 20 min late to my interview. The lady I interviewed with was amazingly kind although not a woman I wish to anger .. lol. I find out a week later I have to be finger printed which again is fine .. however being finger printed in TX is far different than IL .. I mean nightmarishly so. Literally took a week to get an appointment. So I get that done online no less. I show up and find out that somehow I have filled the paperwork out incorrectly I do not feel this was my fault .. LOL .. there was literally NO directions on reason codes. I did screw up the interview by going to the wrong place .. I tend to get ahead of myself.
Anyway, I owned that and I can tell you I will never forget where I'm going now .. LOL. So I have to take another finger print test because of the reason code and I laughed when my recruiter said to me why haven't you been at work? Umm .. let's see .. because no one TOLD me to go!!? I would rather be bringing in a check than sitting around at home doing basically nothing and applying for other jobs too.
So as I laughed at myself and thought are you kidding me .. LOL .. things seem to be falling into place. I just hope it's a good fit and that it's a job I can do. It's going to be all new for me which is going to be difficult.
I forgot to add that I have a start date that I don't have yet because my phone was on vibrate and I missed the call. I don't think I'm starting tomorrow although I hope I start before the end of the week.
Oh the fun begins .. LOL.

Congrats. Serenity - I think....ha.ha.ha.ha. So glad that things are moving forward, even if it seems there is some side-stepping!

I got a start date which is Thursday .. woo hoo!! My recruiter was laughing at me and said soooo barring any weirdness think that's ok? Umm .. yup .. LOL. I hate how long I have been without a check that has hurt. At least we are ok. I may have to pick up another part-time job to help out with my expenses. So we'll see.
Anyway, this is all very good.
