Courage to Change Reading 2- 27

The C2C reading for February 27 speaks about the fact that once we begin to participate in Al-Anon recovery, we can learn to  trust that HP will assist in mapping out the direction.that our recovery takes.

We must simply   humbly ask for God's guidance, and   for the willingness to follow that guidance. After praying for recovery, we can let go, knowing that we can walk serenely in the right direction.

The thought for the day points out that we can make choices that will help to speed up our progress. We can consistently take care of ourselves, by attending more Al-Anon meetings calling our sponsor, trying service work. We can also relax, meditate, exercise, read Al-Anon literature, and eat a healthy meal. We find that once we put forth the effort to do what we can each day gradually get stronger. In other words, we can be a willing participant in the process of recovery. We can have every reason to be hopeful because each step we take is a step toward living life more fully.

The quote is from Henry David Thoreau; "if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours."
This is  a great page that really outlines what I can do  to maintain my recovery.  I have read it often,  Since returning from my cruise, i am happy to say I am back to eating a healthy diet aww

Thank you Betty for the daily and your service. I wish that trusting HP was a bit more automatic for me but progress is always my goal each day...I still at times tend to have fear of the unknown and begin an anxious thought before realizing my plan is set by another greater than I, and he's got this.....

I love that quote - what I 'hear' is that so long as I continue to do the next right thing for my journey, I will have success along the way.' - I needed that today as I go about my day. I am headed to the ball fields for the first tourney of the year and while excited, always a bit nervous as it's with new/different people.

I am grateful for Al-Anon, my program and my journey! Today I can say that I wouldn't want it any other way!

(((Hugs))) - make it a great day!
