I had been reading recovery material this morning and I had a moment of clarity. I need a team of people in my life, not one person. I need a person to do the physical things that require doing, a person to address the mental, emotional, and spiritual. I can not depend on one person to be all these things to me. I need the ABF only for physical purpose, Al-anon, church, sponsor, meetings to address the emotional/mental and processing, the church, meditation, to address the spiritual and myself to address the make the decisions to address the mental. I see now that I need a team of people around me to keep me balanced. I see that I have put all my eggs in the ABF basket to meet my needs. I am responsible to reach out to my team to help push the cart forward. I am the boss of this ship and I need the team to help direct me to where I am to go. I can not sail this ship alone or ask only one person to do it all. I need a team of people. This was my moment of clarity I just had. I got angry and frustrated with the ABF as he could not be the team of people I need. I had expected him to do it all himself without any help. This is a ship that requires a team, not one person. Its no wonder my ship is just sitting and not moving forward. The winds is just letting it drift where ever and getting angry when it is not moving where I want it to go. One person can not do it alone. A team of people must be involved. Thanks for letting me share my insight!
