There is always more to learn and practice. I understand the slogan "keep coming back." If I am having trouble with my A, it doesn't feel earth shattering anymore. I have detached with love and more importantly, whatever the future holds for us, I have HP and I will be OK. But with my brother, sister, and son, if I have conflict with any of them, my coping gets shaky. It feels horrible. At the moment my sister, whom I love dearly, and she also has a AH so we understand each other well, is upset with me because I can't send her something she wants from my mom's house. Our mother is in a nursing home and we are preparing the house for sale. She is going to get what she wants but I'm so busy it has to be on my timing, not her's. I would never have expected a bump in our relationship over something so unimportant. I have to stop obsessing about it and do what's best for me, so I have told her I just need some time. We both know we are having a problem. Will use the Serenity Prayer today and try and realize, How Important Is It? Will also reflect on Step 1-3 and other slogans. Thanks for listening, Lyne
Lyne,
What seems unimportant to you and a little bump seems to be much more meaningful for your sister.
Sometimes we get caught up in our thinking and do not come to understand what the other persons motives are or what they could be thinking of.
I'm sure you don't want to create a rift in your relationship with your sister.
I'm sure it will work out , especially when we turn it over to our higher power.
