The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
In my heart I pray that those who have suffered as a result of someone else's drinking and using, have the tool of our literature as the world-wide fellowship is represented along with their ESH. Page 26 speaks from that writers miracle of recovery which has so definitely displayed my own. My God this is the miracle of getting my life back with a willingness and the opportunity to live it in a way I never imagined.
The author describes "In time, something amazing happened...I was filled with a sense of my Higher Power (God) and His love for me. I felt whole. I knew I'd never be the same again."
Here is my prayer for others, the 3rd step prayer.
Mahalo Nui Al-Anon my fear has been replace with love. (((((MIP)))))
I agree Jerry Alanon Literature is Golden. Since the 12th step states, "Having had a Spiritual Awakening as the result of these Steps "-- I decided to start to work the Steps-- After all this Step assured me that I would be privileged to experience a "spiritual awakening" if I did. I knew I was Spiritually in a Spiritual Coma and needed to be awakened. How wonderful that Awakening has been!!
I so relate to your share Hot Rod and I learned it wasn't something outside of myself or something physical that I could touch which would bring me balance, happiness and a true awareness that I had found what it was that I craved...peace of mind and serenity. (((hugs)))

Thank you to you both for the wisdom and ESH you share with all of us each day. I agree that the literature is 'saving my bacon' big time right now. Watching someone you love prepare to depart from our earth is so difficult for me, but with the literature, program friends locally and coming here, I am able to keep realizing that life is good, her life was blessed and she's going to be just fine and so am I...
