Dreaming of summer

I am not in  a good place right now, struggling with a family situation that is too painful for words and winter. My water lines froze and busted, I have been without water for several days. still looking for a car I can afford.I guess all of these  things are wearing me down, I am feeling quite defeated. I keep playing the song " summertime". I wish it was summer and I was running through the warm grass. chasing honeybees and wading in the creek.

Oh Mary, firstly hugs, and secondly, not to make light of your post but it is stinking hot down here in the underworld and I have not been enjoying it at all as i am more or less housebound... as I read this I thought to myself "hmm perhaps tomorrow I should go and chase some bees" which is a funny image as I am on crutches at the moment and wouldn't give much of a chase really. Anyway now I am in fits of giggles at the thought.

In seriousness I am sorry for all that you are dealing with so much painful stuff and thoughts and prayers to you and your family. I really hope warmer, happier times arrive for you all soon. When I am feeling cold and miserabe I like to imagine sitting by a huge camp-fire talking through it with my HP and that helps, for me.

Thank You missmeliss, I understand, any extreme weather can make for a miserable time. I remember actually catching bees when I was little. My grandpa was a beekeeper, so I grew up learning to love the bees, I was never afraid of them, as I used to watch him gather the honey and he would bring me a big bowl...comb and all. I even used to catch bumblebees!

What a lovely thing to remember; hope the memory warms you up some!!
Bee-keeping is something I've often dreamed of doing too
