Courage to Change Reading 12-13

C2C reading for December 13 points out that Al-Anon helps us to balance our lives as if we are  a riding on a bicycle. When using the alanon tools we are able  to carry vitality into everyday because we learn to do this by : applying the. steps and  slogans to various situations .

" Live and let live." enable us to  embrace whatever life brings, with all its joys and sorrows. It all, has something to offer us. The reading suggests that many members. sometimes, even thank God, for "human difficulties" .  I have not been able to do this, however I am able to   begin to truly feel gratitude in my life  at the most ordinary"  a Bird, a flower,  a sunset etc.
The reading  points out that when  we live our life to the utmost--. It is easy to let others live. There is aliveness in me and  others are blessed with it too

The quote is from Ursula Le Guin; "it's good to have an end to journey towards; but  it is the journey that matters in the end.".

Powerful reminder to live life one day at a time, focused on my HP while placing  principles above personalities and practicing gratitude   This  makes my life journey filled with courage serenity, wisdom. and gratitude .   I am Blessed

Boy.....I need(ed) this reading today - I am in the mad dash cleaning/holiday mode as my parents are arriving on Saturday. Needless to say, between that and my business, I've been buried for the last week +. I tend to still at times do the 'all/nothing' approach to things, but I am chasing progress, not perfection!!

I have slacked a bit on my daily structure and it just makes me 'blah'. I know better, yet when I feel short on time, the first thing that slides is 'me'. Maybe one day, it won't be that way, but it still happens from time to time.

The good news, I am pleasant and am keeping my joy in spite of not enough sleep, too much to do and not enough time. That right there is a huge improvement and the growth I need to recognize.

Betty - your new photo is lovely!!! Thanks for the great daily and your ESH! (((HUGS)))
