It is that time of the year when reflection on our recovery tools is practiced. The readings for December 1 in both books for me is right on and brought a lot of gratitude I have for the program with memories of how it all started. If you have the readers I invite you to review the writings from our other members in recovery who also share the benefits. Keep coming back (((((hugs)))))
The C2C speaks about a Spiritual Awakening and points out that this can be attained by "practicing the program and is the result of working the Steps. Talking the talk does not work-
I love the quote from Aristotle that states:" What we learn to do we learn by doing " It works if we work it
ROFL about Aristotle.....that's too funny!!! I love my daily readings - they help me start the day program centered and when I 'fall down' can right-size me in no time. It's almost, for me, as if God is speaking to my through those....I would be so lost without the Al-Anon tools!
Thanks Jerry for the lovely reminder that no matter how busy I am or think I am, I need to take time for my recovery!!
(((Hugs)))

I have these tools also. I like to go to the back and find the issue that has me in its grasp on a given day and read all the pages related to that topic. Today is was control. The readings are so meditative and soothing. It really helps me to center and bring my focus back in.
