I haven't posted here for a very long time. Today I'm working hard to stay calm and let go of small resentments. The A has been sober for a couple of years for which I'm super grateful. Without a program his old ways pop up now and then especially at his former "down time" 5 oclock! I will detach. I will not yell. I won't sweat the small stuff. I won't become irritable or grouchy. One minute at a time ..........thank God for Alanon.
Welcome back wp - great post and I totally 'hear' you! I spent the first half of my day trying to help my son fill a prescription for an antibiotic without insurance. Of course, he was beyond irritable - just plain mean, mad and unbearable.....the program helps me keep calm even when my insides are screaming or wanting to do so.
Keep coming back and keep working it - a release through a share often for me softens the issue to very manageable!!
