The C2C reading for today, November 23 speaks about the slogan "keep it simple". The reading goes on to point out that many times we become overwhelmed and don't even start a project because we approach the task as a whole iInstead of piece by piece.
We can simplify each task by taking it one step at a time. For example we can gather information and do nothing more. Then when we are ready,we can take the project further one piecee one step at a time,it is amazing what can be accomplished.
The reading also points out that we can try something and change our minds we don't have to make a lifetime commitment before we know whether or not are going to like the project. . I can take my time and move step-by-step at my own pace.
y focusing on one thing at a time,. the impossible can become possible. When we learn to keep it simple.
Quote is from Eugene S Ware:" all glory comes from daring to begin
Love this simple approach . I have found the courage to accomplish many "abandoned goals" by simply chipping away and just, taking it one step, one piece at a time.
That reminds me of the old Johnny Cash song about a person working in a GM factory and taking home car parts so as to build the perfect car-- he stole it" one piece at a time"and it did not cost him a dime
Naturally when it was all assembled it was "mismatched" because the style changed from year to year but it worked.
I my line of work I often have several projects going at the same time..all with different deadlines..and I'm ok But let that man call and every bit of common sense goes out the window lol
This week..today I will only deal with what is in front of me, not creating extra work..I will keep it very simple when dealing with my guy..no expectations..just what is in front of me..
Thanks Betty for the daily and your ESH! I am a planner, so piece by piece or step by step works well in my brain and gives me a feeling of accomplishment as I go instead of stress about what's not done yet and/or when will it be done. For me, this "Keep it Simple" slogan helps me realize that I too, like most projects in my line of sight am a work in progress, and some days are super productive while others are less than.
The bottom line for me - any effort and progress is better than none at all. When I am off-center, and/or distracted from my program, the best for me might be focusing and reading the daily readers. When I am program-centered and right-minded, more will be involved in my day.
I have to take things one step at a time, one moment at a time as it keeps me focused on what is right in front of me vs. what has been or what will be.
Grateful for the program and all of you here!!! (((Hugs))) and Happy Monday!
