The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
This reading is about the power of writing in terms of our recovery. Being able to freely express feelings, get them down on paper and even read them through more objectively we all ways that have been helpful to me in healing. Posting on this site and feeling the support of your reponses has been integral in helping me move forward and continue growth in the program. When I have gotten stuck on something along the way my sponsor has suggested a more free form of writing- not editing, writing just for me, getting the feelings out and on paper. Personally, I am a concrete person and I appreciate the clarity that comes from writing. In grateful that I came to know about the program through writing and I will continue to use it in my own recovery.
Good Morning Mary Thanks for sharing the reading for today. I love the idea of "free form writing"-as it helps me to gain clarity and keeps me humble and honest.
This program is such a gift. Thanks for your service.
Mary - thanks for the daily and your ESH. I am a big writer as it helps me to 'see' that which is logical and that which is illogical in black and white.....It also is like a purging of my brain which tends to try and process many things at once, and not always with grace and clarity.
Around here, we always offer, "Write about it, Talk about it and Pray about it" as a tool for when one is restless or stuck on a situation/problem. So grateful for Al-Anon and all the tools we acquire to help us move forward to peace and serenity!!!
Happy Tuesday back @ ya!

I am a HUGE writer and keep a few different journals around. I have a gratitude journal, a journal I write in to discuss my recovery where it applies to my new relationship, and I have a step work journal. It's all been so helpful to me in working my program and in helping me find clarity.
