Spouse in the hospital

Nothing to serious, but hospitals and surgery are scary regardless. Appendicitis apparently.  Was scary for a bit last night. In the old days, I would have been too messed up to take care of him and all our pets and get up and get back to the hospital after just leaving there 4 hours ago...yawn...

Oh boy!  Sending healing thoughts!  And so right about how being healthy means we can genuinely cope with what gets thrown our way - because stuff will get thrown our way.  Take good care of yourself!

Pinkchip - Prayers and positive thoughts from my way too! I love how you share that you would not have been 'present' in the past. Yet another wonderful reminder of the gifts of our program.

Here's to a quick surgery, quicker recovery and the quickest return home possible for all.

(((Hugs))) to you both! Get some rest and know we are here if/when you need us!

I'm so glad that you are healthy enough to take care of others when they are sick! Which, of course, you do every day anyway, but it's even more important for your family.

Sorry to hear this news Pink but good he's admitted and being cared for. Agree that we can be very grateful for the 12 step recovery. I'm personally grateful to Alanon for giving me the tools to move from fear, denial and inaction to G.O.D. good orderly direction. Thankfully, with recovery we can now trust ourselves with hp's guidance to make sound decisions.  Sending good thoughts and prayers your way.  Keep us posted. (((hugs))  TT

LOL...humor is up and fear down...PK your program is showing.  Use to be another guy here awhile back with the same name who would have loved your recovery.  Tell your spouse that those two guys have asked you to assist in the next surgery...you will be doing the initial incision  evileye!!   LOL
