Perspective

I got a healthy (but sad) dose of perspective today.  One of my classmates from highschool passed away last night at the age of 40.  It was a quick battle with cancer and he was just the sweetest guy.  His wife just had a baby this summer so they were new parents.  I am absolutely heart broken for his family and to know his daughter will grow up without knowing her father.  Just makes you realize that although you may be going through something tough, there are others that are going through something tougher.

Oh jazzie you are so right. That is exactly how I've been looking at it since my niece was diagnosed with leukemia a little over a month ago. But thanks again for the reminder today.

Amen to that!  There's tragedy around us all the time.  We just forget so quickly and take things for granted.  no  Thank you for the reminder of the precious gift we have.

Gratitude lists help me appreciate all I have in the moment and in the day. Life is indeed short

So sorry for your loss - that's so tough and I'm sending prayers for all.....

I too love that gratitude lists can give me the proper perspective of what's going on around me....keeps me focused on the many blessings I have vs. what I think I 'want/need' that's not a reality.

(((Hugs))) - great post!!
