Thanks for the lovely daily! I feel so far behind, but for all the right reasons....
Gratitude has been a powerful part of my daily program since I arrived. I am so grateful that those who came before me were able to help me 'see' all the gifts I have been given and how blessed I am. When I arrived, I could only see what was broken and hard and wrong with my small piece of the universe. I had lost my mojo in a huge way and truly felt it might always be a sad/lonely life filled with shame and anger and disappointment.
Finding small things to be grateful for was an easy way to small attitude adjustments. I came to believe that in spite of this disease, I am more grateful than words can express. Life is precious and life is a special journey that we can chose our approach to. My glass is now ALWAYS half full even when it seems darkness is around.
Thanks for your service and thanks for the lovely daily on gratitude!! (((Hugs)))

I read the AA just for today passage most days as it sets me up for what lies ahead good or bad.
If I feel that my glass is only half full then I apply the serenity prayer and then mentally swap my glass for a smaller glass and be grateful that at least the glass wasn't empty :)
Gratitude for what we have and not what we don't have
is the only way to live, no self pity is the name of the
game ... ahhhh peace is very sweet indeed.
