Hope for Today. Oct 6

Good morning everyone--

Today's reading is about someone who seeks out serenity and is told by fellow alanon members to follow a path in the woods that would lead her to a place of seclusion and great beauty.  After walking a bit she comes to a fork in the road and is anguished about which direction to go.  She finally decides, keeps walking and is led to a place of great beauty and peacefulness. When she reports back to her meeting they let her know that either fork in the road would have brought her to that same place.  She is left realizing that any direction she goes in her life will be under the care of her HP.

for me there is great comfort in knowing that there is a plan for me and I am under the care of my HP.  It is a reminder that I cannot and am not meant to go it alone.  For those of us who made decisions to live as single people and in many cases parents after a long time in a marriage it is very helpful to remember that we are not alone.

My personal prayer for today is something like- okay HP, what's in store for me today? Help me be open to it!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

M

Happy Tuesday back @ ya! Great reading and great ESH! Thanks Mary for sharing!

I am always reminded through our daily readers and the program that my days and my journey are a direct result of my attitude, outlook and faith. When I am in the present and program-centered, I can or could climb mountains. When I am self-centered and focused on the past or the future, going to the store can be a challenge.

What a great daily and a marvelous reminder to do the next right thing and trust the process and HP. Grateful for MIP and for Al-Anon!
