Hello every one .. It's been a long time and so glad to see some familiar names. Since the last time I was on here my son was doing great in his recovery and after so many months clean he relapsed for a month and I had about enough. I needed peace. God calmed my storm. The less I paid attention to the situation after he having it all AGAIN, he lost it all within days and back out on the streets he was again. Yes it tore me up, but I have no control of him. I needed to take care of me.. He again is in recovery SLE and truly working his program but again my focus is on me. We can love our addicts but hate the addiction. We can pray for theM. But we are important too. We have no control of there inconcious or concious decisions.. But we can control how we react. God bless you all.. I'm blessed that God saved a wrentch like me. Heres an update picture: This is his recovery.
Welcome back Gaby and so sorry to hear about your son and send prayers to both of you! You are right to focus on yourself and the Al-anon program. {{HUGS}}

Welcome back Gaby and what a great photo! Love hearing you share about the focus on you - need those constant and perpetual reminders that we are important too.
Like you, I hate this disease but love my qualifier(s). Peace, strength and prayers for you and your son coming your way from me...
(((hugs))) - keep coming back!
