A Thought for Today ~ Let The Mud Settle ~ 9/27/15

Meditation sitting quietly and letting the mud settle ~ Al-anon

As Lao Tzu put it, Do you have the patience to wait until your

mud settles and the water is clear? Can you remain unmoving

until the right action arises by itself?

Try setting aside 15 minutes per day, and dedicate it to simply

sit in solitude. Not forcing or expecting anything, but just letting

your mud settle as you sit in that quiet space with an erect spine.

Clarity arises from that space.

{{Happy Sunday}}

Thanks Deb, Great reminder. I use the The 11th Step to enable me to "Let the mud settle", so that I can actually "Accept the reality of what is going on and then pray "only for knowledge for His will for me and the power to carry it out."

I can only sit and meditate and"Let the Mud Settle",because I believe that no matter what the outcome, HP will give me The Power to Carry out HIS will. and therefore I will never fail.

Happy Sunday to all.

I will admit that I can not do 15 minutes....I'm doing well with 5-10. But, my HP knows that's how I'm wired and manages me/his will accordingly.

I am the worst at being completely still, but with prayers and dailies, I am able to get there for a while.

Letting the mud settle is a great goal! For me, it often happens while I am napping tho......

Thanks Debb for the lovely reminder - I got a new goal too!!!
