The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
The C2C reading for September 25 speaks about Step Three. This is the Step that we can take over and over again as we face a difficult situation and when we awaken.
We can be willing to place our entire life, and will in the hands of HP with the willingness to accept HP's will for me, no matter what. The awareness that I receive by working the Al-Anon Steps, helps me to let go of destructive thoughts and tools from the past. It's only when I "Let Go" and trust the" still small voice within", that is quietly nudging me in the direction of my higher power that my life becomes fulfilling.
The quote is from Martin Luther; "I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all, but whatever I placed in God's hands that I still possess."
This quote is all so very true

What a lovely topic today Betty. Martin Luther Kings quote is so perfectly stated. I have to admit that there are many times it difficult to Let Go, but when I feel myself digging my heels in and try to hold on and control, my inner voice pipes up and says to "Let Go and Let God", and I have Al-anon to thank for this gift.

Thanks ladies for the lovely shares and ESH! I too have that inner voice that tells me I am trying to control, change, fight, etc. things or people or events or ???
After i become aware, I then practice letting Go and letting God. I am so so so grateful for the tools I've learned here at Al-Anon. I shudder to think where I would be IF I had not come here and embraced the program.
(((Hugs)))
