This is and was the humility step for me...not necessarily the "outing" of myself and the "here is what I really am" presentation.    No false impressions or shucking or jiving or light hearted fooling around...the real me because I didn't want to lead others into a less than honest practice of the step.  The description "the exact nature of my wrongs" meant no fluff or sham and no justifications of hurtful and harmful behavior.  This is where I learned to practice trust, courage and self acceptance.  Keep practicing (((hugs))) smile

I agree Jerry Step 5 is indeed powerful. It was by working this important step that I finally gave myself permission to be an "imperfect human being" and that was perfect freedom.

Agreed......humility and humanism - great summation of this step for me too.

I'm behind with the Step work over on the board - life seems to be acting different than desired!

Thanks Betty for posting Step 5 and all you do for all of us!
