C2C 9-11

September 11. C2C reading  explores Step Four.  It  points out that many of us who have lived with the disease of alcoholism , devalue ourselves  and unconsciously believe that our best is not good enough and that no matter what we do,it is not right.

By working Step four we are offered  a chance to find the balance and to help identify the things that we have  been telling ourselves that are not true. We can also uncover our assets and own them. The purpose of step four is for us to learn who we are and what we might be doing that hurts us. I do believe by working this step I finally accepted that I was an imperfect human.and  that was{" perfectly") fine01

The quote is from the Dilemma of the Alcoholic Marriage:"Let me realize that self-doubt and self hate are defects of character that hinder  my growth.."

Living in New York City and having worked  at the World Trade Center, at the time of the tragedy on September 11, this is still a difficult day for me. I intend to travel down to the WTC  museum, remember, and pray.
On this day 14 years ago, I do believe my HP guided me to safety in a profound manner. How grateful I am !!!

Thank you Betty for your insight and post today. I am a better person because of step 4, because
I learned that I, like yourself, am not a perfect person and it is okay!! smile

It is a solemn day today and am grateful your HP guided you to safety on that unforgetable day
of 9/11/2001. May all who were/are affected by that day find peace.
