Here I am...back again

I'm back after more than 6 months away (believing I had "graduated".)..had my tools and no longer needed the program.
And here I am again...Someone in a meeting told me "No one graduates- you always need to come back." They were right.

I'm going through a divorce with my AH.  I needed to start a new life. Our communication  has been minimum.  Now with the divorce,

I decided to get some preliminary negotiations started in order to save some legal expenses....One phone call and I was back where I started

trying to solve his problems and thinking of taking a lower price for my half of the house in order to save HIM money.  I actually considered un-blocking

his phone calls in case he needed something. As a social worker once asked me "Have you ever heard of Al-Anon?" I told her  i was a grateful member of Al-Anon and then

said "I guess I need a meeting". I need these boards and I going back to my face-toface meeting as well...Thanks

Welcome back Alex I too walked away because I thought I had all the tools and prinicples and could do it alone . I found out rather painfully that this is NOT so. This is a WE program and meetingss, sponsors and fellowship are extemely important to my maintaining my recovery. Glad you are back.

It took me two trips to get into the program...I wasn't looking forward to three.  I love being happy, joyous and free and Al-Anon does that for me.   Keep coming back (((((hugs))))) smile

Alex -

I too welcome you back......I completely understand and can relate! My life is so much better with this program than without. My recovery is so much easier with the fellowship than without. So glad you have returned!
