Made it all the way to Ft Worth, Texas .. LOL. It's been an adventure already which those who know me know that is always the case.
Started at 2PM Saturday and literally at about 4AM Sunday morning decided that it might be a good idea to stop we were about 130 miles outside of Dallas and I just couldn't go any further .. well I could of my poor kiddos, my youngest in the front seat scared the life out of me by flopping over and muttering my left butt cheek hurts, when are we stopping I can't go any further. I started laughing because it was the funniest thing I had heard out of him for about 2 hours. He was out like a little light.
I have to say we had the best time together, we stopped and ate, drove, laughed, drove some more, stopped here and there most of what I was were lights of larger cities one thing about traveling at night is that there is very little traffic. This is actually the furthest I have ever driven with them in the car and it was not the most comfortable ride considering we were sandwiched in .. lol. They were extreme troopers .. I loved it! My daughter said to me .. mom, this is so much fun and the life. I want to do some more traveling like this and coming from a 16 year old who spent the whole time in the backseat I think that says it all.
My boy and I spent a lot of time just talking and being silly. He also voted we do this again. LOL! He was more cramped than my daughter.
It really is a memory I will take with me for a long time coming. Right now I'm looking for a job and figuring out where to live, what we have to have and what we can live without for a while.
At this point we have had a really fantastic time and I am so grateful for everyone who has been so supportive of this move it has meant the world and I really think that this is something that will be best for us all.
My only complaint is that we picked the hottest day to arrive at least the temps will be coming down this week!! I am glad we have air in the car and we have air in the hotel we are staying.

PS - We are going to find a church and Alanon meeting. I have told the kids I would like it if they would attend at least 6 meetings.

Woo-hoo Serenity! Sounds like a ton of fun - so glad you all were able to make an adventure out of it.
