to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
There's a big horsefly that's been hanging around my porch. He buzzes around me every now and then, and I swat at him. He hasn't bitten me (yet).
I was sitting for a minute, taking a break and working a little al-anon when he landed on the railing near me. I had my flip-flop poised to squash him.
I started questioning my motives.
Was I worried that he was going to bite me in the future? Yes. Had he bitten me in the past? No. But others of his ilk have. Was he annoying? Slightly. Did he deserve to die? Not really.
I decided to name him instead. Dennis.
Now when he buzzes around me I just say "Go on Dennis!" and he does.
