i have no control

I got to always keep in mind that i have no control over my ah's alcohlism. This past week,he was appearing less drunky and appeared just to be drinking a few beers and eatting. i told him how nice it was to see him productive, aware and 'more with it' tyhis past week. oh im just drinking beer,he said with a straight face, I ran across a empty bottle of vodka today...

I HAVE NO CONTROL..IHAVE NO CONTROL OVER Alcohol....... now come to find out that my sis in law is the newest alcoholic to emerge. she has been been gulping down 1-2 bottles of wine daily.......im the only sober one...................................................i have never drunk alcohol ever....

((((Alyce))) It is indeed true we have no control over people, places or things. I have not had an alcoholic drink in over 40 years and am the only one in my family who does not drink alcoholically.
It is indeed challenging at times. Keeping the focus on myself , one day at a time not reacting and remembering that being powerless does not mean i am helpless, does indeed help.

Keep coming back You are worth it

Alyce, I too have been confounded my the number of people in my life that

drink daily!  I am so grateful for Al-Anon, which has taught me that there is

no way a person can control the drinker, but gives the power of knowledge

that allows one to take of themselves and have peace.

(((Alyce))) - it's all around all the time or so it seems! I'm so grateful this program has taught me that I can't cure it, control it and I did not cause it. I can't do anything about it; I can only choose to detach and live my best possible life.

I seriously work to take each day as it comes. I love my As, but I hate this disease!!!

(((Alyce)))

I have Only Been Sober going on 5yrs, and its a Pretty Lonely place as well in my Surroundings... Thank Goodness for A Program that has taught me how to LIVE life instead of it passing me By while my "A's" Consume me... Now I Can Allow them to be who they are and Still be happy in my Own Skin...

Thanks for the Reminder... We Sure can't Control it... Might as well let go & let God :)

Thanks for Being here...
