I had a lovely day yesterday visiting my childhood vacation home. Here is a picture of my sister and I at the carousel that we rode oh so many years ago.
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see? (Lewis Caroll)
Betty, what a wonderful example you set for the rest of this board. To know that someone has come through what you have, has walked the walk for so long and yet still keep your joy in life, your sense of humour and your compassion for others is so fantastic and comforting. You are truly a heroine in my eyes and I'm just trying to walk and learn in your shadow.
Betty - What a lovely photo and a beautiful carousel! Great all around and it sounds like your day was lovely too!
Thanks for sharing with us!

Awesome Betty! I go back to Ocean City, Maryland every so often. That was the family vacation spot every single year. At the end of the boardwalk, there are all these rides. My favorite as a kid was this little ride that only consists of little cars going around the same oval track, but they whip fast around the long ends. The name of the ride you ask? The "fairy whip" of course. LOL!
The "Fairy Whip" sounds like a great deal of fun Mark and It is grand that you enjoyed it. :)
Love taking "trips down" memory lane - We loved that ride and the bumper cars as well
